Lessons

One of the most valuable lessons we as humans can learn is this: "Just because we disagree, doesn't necessarily mean one of us is wrong.  And just because one of us is wrong, doesn't necessarily mean it's a big deal."   I get so tired of people bickering over details and little things, to the point of forgetting entirely the bigger picture.  Our ultimate goal and purpose as Christians is to win people to Christ.  And how we go about doing that is dependent on our specific gifts, talents, and callings.  One person may focus on evangelism and speak to many in a single day; another may work through a small handful of personal relationships; someone else may be called to raise up Godly children and send them out into the world; and this other person may focus on strengthening Christian marriages to improve the witness of those they have reached.  And, believe it or not, someone else just might be called to love the gay community and tolerate their lifestyle to demonstrate Christ's love to ALL people, regardless of lifestyle and personal choices.   The most important issue is basic salvation -- by grace through faith that is not the result of works.  Everything beyond that is between God and the individual.

My Place to Think

This blog has been created for the purpose of clearing my mind.  It is not often that I get worked up over something, but when I do I need a place to speak.  I won't post often and I don't expect everyone to agree with me.  And I am fine with that.  In fact, some posts may be downright shocking. Others may be shockingly boring.   Feel free to voice your opinions, thoughts, and/or disagreement in the comments, as iron sharpening iron, and we can both grow through the experience.
